Each micro course contains the activities, discussion forums, and resources for one learning activity. For the purpose of this site and its connections the terms learning activity and design task are synonymous in nature. There are 12 unique learning activities (Aka, design tasks); therefore, there are 12 micro courses. Micro course titles relate to a specific design task (Aka, learning activity). For example, MC (Micro Course): 101: 1 contains the activities, discussion forums, and resources for design task 1 (Aka, first learning activity).
Each one of the 12 learning activities (Aka, design tasks) belongs to one of four groups of activities (classroom-centered, learning-centered, understanding-centered, or progress-centered). Design task 1, 2, and 3 are classroom-centered. Design tasks 4, 5, and 6 are learning-centered. Design tasks 7, 8, and 9 are understanding-centered. Design tasks 10, 11, and 12 are progress-centered.
