It all started when…
It all started one day as I looked around my classroom at the children with whom I had spent the last nine months and I began to think about all the children I had taught for the past twenty years. I realized I needed to do more to help them.
Shortly thereafter, I enrolled in a Ph.D. program. I was there because I believe, I should help level the playing field…for children, who enter school without a fair and equal chance of succeeding! I believe, everything I do… should help children, who are behind before they begin.
In order to help children, you must first help their teachers. That is why I research and write about professional learning, learning designs, and lesson planning.
